Applying for an Orange Mobile Phone
& Connection to the Orange Network
Once you've decided that you want to go ahead and place an order for an Orange mobile phone, there is a simple four step procedure to follow:
- Complete an application form
- Forward application to us so that we can contact Orange on your behalf
(application can be forwarded either by voice, fax or e-mail)
Orange will hopefully authorise connection within 1 hour
We will deliver your phone on the next-working-day,
or you can collect from our Watford Business Park Offices
As with all mobile phone networks, connection to Orange is subject to status and applications may be declined or a refundable deposit may be required before phones can be connected.
Once a phone has been authorised and activated onto the Orange network you will normally receive your first bill approximately two to three weeks later. This bill will include the one-off connection charge of 30 pounds + VAT.
By registering the phone you will be bound to the Orange Terms and Conditions, copies of which are included with every phone. Essentially you are agreeing to a 9 month contract with 3 months notice making 12 months in total.
The following circumstances are the most likely to cause problems with your application:
- Outstanding CCJ's at your address
- A history of late payments (e.g. catalogues, credit cards etc)
- Not being on the Electoral Register
- Limited Companies with 2 years accounts not yet filed
- Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age
